FOR A VERY GOOD CAUSE!

NAHA has agreed to associate the conduct of its National Women Team to a very worthy cause. NAHA believes that engaging in top sport also constitutes a degree of social responsibility. Having the National Women Team fully exposed on World Hockey level, it is therefore a good opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to this responsibility.

The National Women’s Team is currently in full preparation swing for the Olympic Qualifier in Kazan / Russia in April this year. The Team has decided to donate free of charge a sponsor spot on the team clothing to the non-profit organization EARTH WATER www.earthwater.nl.

EARTH WATER, which sells bottled water throughout The Netherlands at many prime retail outlets, donates 100% of the net profit to UNHCR, the UN refugee agency www.unhcr.org. From the profit donated, water wells are built in countries where they need clean, fresh water most. EARTH WATER’s slogan is “Water for Water”. EARTH WATER in The Netherlands is a spring-off from the parent initiative Earth Water International www.earthwater.ca.

The National Women Team, although struggling to square its bills for the international tournament engagements, deeply believes that this cause to support the promotion of fresh water for those which are in need most is certainly a noble one worth placing the EARTH WATER logo on their team clothing.
